After releasing a splashing design tuning package on a gorgeous Mercedes-AMG G 63 called “Rose Vintage,” famous tuning company Carlex Design is back into the spotlight with another gorgeous project on another G 63, this time, introducing what the experts call the “Icons Collection.”
The vehicle shown is the first entry in that series, and from what can be observed, it is less about mechanical reinvention and more about visual and material drama.
Carlex does not touch the oily bits here, and that decision feels deliberate. Instead, attention shifts almost entirely toward design, proportion, and surface treatment.
Exterior
As seen in the media gallery released by Carlex Design, the exterior of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Icons Collection stands out from the crowd with an olive-like paint finish, highlighted by black elements around the whole body, from the pillars, to the door mirror casings, side steps, and the rear spare wheel holder.

The top of the beautiful SUV has a customized pattern that has been laid in bright orange that is a perfect match to the dark shade on the rest of body parts. The old-fashioned type of wheels that are enveloped with white-wall tires, which move aesthetics towards the retro-style are also present.
At the back, the tuner has fitted three exhaust tips in each side, and this creates an addition of another standalone layer on the transformation without making any changes in the overall appearance. All these highlights have made the car look wider and more aggressive as compared to the usual G 63.
Interior
The inside is characterized as the place where the magic actually occurs, and the description does not seem to be overstated. The cabin is being trimmed with exotic hide and painted in a similar tone as the exterior which brings a continuity between the outside and inside, and does not waste on a different theme.

The Carlex Design logo appears on a variety of elements in the cabin, and the general attitude that one gets is of something incredibly exotic and highly-constructed. This is the art in the literal meaning of the word, not a simple exchange of colors.
Complete Powertrain Information
The specialist from Carlex Design has not made any modifications to this Mercedes-AMG G 63, the SUV still retaining the V8 bi-turbo 4.0-liter engine with the same 577 horsepower. This helps an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds.
Conclusion
Being the first car in the tuner`s “Icons Collection,” this gorgeous Mercedes-AMG G 63 makes a real statement. And this definitely means that the famous tuner will be back with more details of its plans to extend this collection with more standout programs on other Mercedes models.
