I shiver all my spine whenever I get the chance to watch a G-Class model of Mercedes being blanked out by Brabus. The model in this instance can easily be labeled as a AMG G 63, owing to its pose, the grille or even the exhaust tips attached to the side.
And not just a standard G 63 either, but something modified by Brabus.
That is not quite the case of the assumption. Behind the hostile appearances, the Mercedes-Benz G 350 d under consideration is mounted on a 2.9-liter straight-six forced induction driven diesel engine.

This is 282 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque with maximum torque of between 1,200 rpm and 3,200 rpm and maximum outputs of between 3,400 rpm and 4,600 rpm. But the model under question has a 320 horsepower churn, and the sprint time between 0 and 60 mph is done in approximately 5 seconds, which is seen as much faster than the stock 7.4 seconds.
Its maximum speed is electronically-restricted to 200 km/h. The energy is fed to all the wheels through a high-performance 9G-Tronic 9-speed auto transmission, where the engine is also Euro 6d-TEMP-compliant.
With an average of less than 10 l/100km (mpg US), the CO₂ emissions are in the range of 252 to 259g/km according to the initial announcement made a few years ago. Those are impressive numbers in something of an appearance of a brick. Perhaps that too is surprising.

From a visual standpoint, the SUV looks like a genuine AMG-tweaked model. There is a new hood in town, along with a Panamericana-style grille or an updated front bumper at the front. On the sides, the updated fender flares with new side steps widen the car`s stance, while the new headlights sit above the windshield.
At the back, there is a wing, a modified rear bumper, and a Brabus-branded spare wheel holder. Brabus logos appear in multiple places across the exterior. The SUV also appears to sit on new wheels. And that visual transformation is really the whole point. Or rather, most of it.

Inside, the transformation continues. The cabin receives a custom Brabus-designed interior finished largely in orange leather upholstery, contrasted by black elements scattered throughout.
Whether someone would pay six figures for a diesel G-Wagen dressed up as a Mercedes-AMG G 63 is another question entirely.
