Mercedes-Benz has never officially built a G-Wagen Cabriolet wearing AMG badges in modern form, and that gap is exactly where Refined Marques stepped in. The company has taken the Mercedes-AMG G63 and turned it into a bespoke open-top creation, one that doesn’t try to hide how extreme it is. It’s custom, very limited, and priced accordingly, with a starting figure that lands deep into seven digits.

Exterior

Admiring the car from the exterior, one can see the familiar look of the G63 Cabriolet; however, as you already know, the devil is in the details. In this case, the details refer to the one-off rear-hinged suicide doors. Also, there is also the soft top that allows open-air driving. Other than that, the car retains the Cabriolet`s standard look.

According to Refined Marques, the goal wasn’t visual shock, but making the layout work better in real life, especially when it comes to rear access.

Interior

As seen in the photos, the interior is fully-customized the match the exterior, especially if we are dealing with the soft top G63. There is red leather dominating the seating with a level of finish described as exceptional.

This isn’t presented as a rushed conversion. The interior reflects the same attention given to the exterior changes, aiming for comfort and exclusivity rather than novelty.

Complete Powertrain Information

Mechanically, the Mercedes-AMG G63 Cabriolet retains the standard V8 twin-turbo engine, with an impressive 577 horsepower.

Refined Marques did not reposition the project as a performance upgrade, instead keeping the stock AMG output intact while focusing on the transformation itself.

Pricing

This custom G63 Cabriolet carries a starting price of $1.3 million. That figure hasn’t scared buyers away. In fact, Refined Marques notes that several clients offered more than the asking price, though those offers were declined. Most of the planned production has already been spoken for.

Other Specifications

Production is capped at 20 examples, even though the project originally began as a one-off. Development took roughly 18 months, and the finished vehicle was inspected by a former Mercedes-Benz quality control chief, who reportedly couldn’t find a single fault. Explaining the reasoning behind the unusual doors, Refined Marques CEO Ahmed Al Bakry said, “The idea was to make access easier, especially for rear passengers.” He also noted, “This wasn’t about making something flashy. It had to work properly.”

Conclusion

This Mercedes-AMG G63 Cabriolet isn’t trying to replace a factory model. It exists in its own space, defined by craftsmanship, rarity, and a price that reflects both. For the few buyers who secure one, exclusivity is effectively guaranteed.
