With Mercedes-Benz recently unveiling the new S-Class, the model is already stirring things up, as images began circulating online that suggest the tuning world may have had a head start. Or at least that’s how it looks at first glance in some great renderings signed by @ildar_project on Instagram.

Exterior

The most obvious factory change is the lighting. Both the front and rear units now feature a star-studded design, which quickly becomes the car’s defining visual signature. It’s easily the most recognizable exterior update.

What really turns heads, though, comes from outside Mercedes. The renderings show a more aggressive stance of the newly arrived S-Class. These changes refer to wide wheel arches, sportier side skirts, an updated front bumper with chin spoiler, or a standout rear diffuser. The foru exhaust tips and ducktail spoiler also reinforce the idea that this rendered vehicle is a performance-focused ride. Rumors have it that these renderings might hint at the idea that such a transformation might be carried out on the upcoming AMG S 63 E Performance model.

Interior

Inside, things seem to be more dramatic. The cabin has effectively become a screen-first environment, with traditional wood trim giving way to displays – we are dealing here with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch screen in front of the passenger, as well as a 14.4-inch central infotainment display.

Infotainment

Technology continues into the rear seats. A new AI-powered virtual assistant is present, while rear passengers get their own entertainment system with two 13.1-inch screens, reinforcing the S-Class’s role as a rolling tech showcase.

Complete Powertrain Information

Powertrain options remain extensive. The newly-introduced S-Class comes with an array of variants, each one with its own powertrain. First in line is the S 580 4matic with a V8 twin-turbo 4.0liter engine, with mild-hybrid assistance, that produces 530 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque.

Next in line is the S 450 with an inline-six 3.0-liter pot, with 376 horsepower, while the S 500 churns out 443 horsepower, sourced from the same engine. In Europe, the German-based carmaker also introduced two 3.0-liter diesels with 309 and 362 horsepower, respectively.

As for plug-in hybrid, there is also the S 450 e available with 429 horsepower, and the S 580 with 577 horsepower.

Conclusion

No, the tuning fairy hasn’t officially touched the 2027 S-Class yet. But these convincing digital renderings show just how easily the new design can be pushed further. When a stock luxury sedan already looks this adaptable, the line between reality and imagination gets thin—fast.
