Brabus has entered electric motorcycles through a joint project with French builder DAB. Three versions arrived at once, all derived from the same DAB 1a platform, though each one carries a different trim level, output figure, and finish. The direction is clear from the start, these machines target short-range city riding rather than high-speed touring.
The least expensive version is called DAB 1a Brabus. A 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery sits at the center of the package and feeds a rear electric motor rated at 31 horsepower. Torque reaches 291 pound-feet, or 395 Nm. Brabus lists 93 mph, equal to 150 km/h, as top speed. Charging from 20 percent to full capacity through a domestic socket takes around 3 hours.

This first model stays dark in presentation. Black bodywork covers most surfaces. Carbon-fiber remains visible on the front fender, lower fairing section, and inserts near the engine-cover area. Matte-black wheel covers continue the same approach. The seat receives Alcantara trim with gray stitching. Nothing bright appears here, and that seems deliberate.
Urban E moves higher in the range and keeps the battery unchanged. Motor output rises to 37 horsepower, while torque climbs to 350 pound-feet, or 475 Nm. Brabus also adds cooling elements made from carbon-fiber on the left side and around the motor section. These ducts belong only to this stronger version and the model above it.

Urban E also changes several visible parts. Gloss-black painted sections appear with red detailing. Carbon-fiber returns on more exterior pieces, including the wheel covers. Vertical daytime running lights are added at the front. A Supermoto-style handlebar replaces the simpler layout, and CNC-machined aluminum levers complete the upper section.
Equipment also changes under the surface. Brabus includes keyless start on Urban E. Riding settings expand into five modes, Eco, Street, Sport, Nitrous, and Reverse. Suspension becomes fully adjustable. Brembo braking hardware also enters the package.
At the top sits Urban E First Edition. Mechanically, nothing changes from Urban E. The distinction comes from paint selection and production count. Buyers choose between Peetch, Desert Sand, Superviolet, and Fusion Red. Each shade is restricted to 10 motorcycles.

Prices move well beyond what the output figures suggest. DAB 1a Brabus starts at €16,590, listed at $19,500. Urban E opens at €20,800, or $24,400. Urban E First Edition reaches €32,500, equal to $38,100.
A BMW S 1000 RR with 215 horsepower and a full equipment list costs around €25,000, or $29,000. In simple terms, Brabus asks more money for less output, though these motorcycles follow a different purpose.
