The Rocket 900 badge is back in the media`s spotlight, this time for a heavily reworked G-Class that opened its program for 2026 in Düsseldorf at a special show release on January 17th.
That timing matters a bit. Brabus was not performing with a single toy at that, but the new Rocket 900 Edition was obviously included in the opening statement, alongside the Brabus XL 800 Cabrio, the Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition, and the Brabus Shadow 1500. The Mercedes connection remains in the middle of the stage of a brand that became operational in 1977 and over time ventured out of cars into SUVs, trucks, bikes, boats, islands, motorhomes, and even fashion. This one makes that obvious again.

Production is capped at 50 examples worldwide, so availability will be tight from the outset. The visual recipe starts with Stealth Gray paint, then layers on Signature Black details and a bespoke carbon-fiber exterior treatment. There is also a newly developed carbon-fiber rear spoiler made specifically for this version. Up front, Brabus adds an illuminated carbon-fiber grille frame together with an illuminated front logo, a flashy touch perhaps, though it fits the rest of the package.
The mechanical headline is the Rocket 900 V8 bi-turbo engine. Brabus says the big SUV can reach 100 kph (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, which is absurdly quick for something this upright. Top speed is electronically capped at 240 kph, or 149 mph. To shape the soundtrack, the company fits a Brabus Rocket stainless-steel high-performance exhaust with twin side-exit pipes mounted ahead of the rear wheels on both sides. Valve control brings selectable sound modes, so the driver is not locked into one personality all the time.

Rolling stock is just as extroverted. The Rocket 900 Edition uses 24-inch Brabus Monoblock II EVO Platinum Edition wheels, described as a modern reinterpretation of the tuner’s classic three-spoke theme. Buyers can also specify carbon-fiber Aero Blades for what Brabus says is an even sharper driving experience.
Inside, the SUV gets the full Brabus Masterpiece treatment. Hand-finished details appear on the quilted seats, the door inserts, and even the floor areas for both passengers and luggage. Brabus Shell elements are included, too. The dashboard, center console, and door panels are covered with carbon fiber, with the pedals and footrest being trimmed with carbon fiber trim as well. LED warning displays indicate engine speed advancement in real-time, while the carbon-fiber paneling on all four doors and the tailgate glows to match the ambient lighting system.
