Mansory is back in the game with another standout tuning program carried out on the famous AMG G 63, the model receiving new body elements and a power upgrade under the hood.
The tuner’s latest interpretation, known as the P720, takes the familiar off-roader and covers nearly every visible exterior surface in matte gold paint. Before anything else, one detail matters: none of the finishes consists of real gold. Paint does all the work.
The transformation begins at the front. A redesigned grille sits between new air intakes, while a chin spoiler and a reshaped hood alter the SUV’s appearance further. Move toward the sides, and the modifications continue without interruption. Wider wheel arches appear at both ends of the vehicle, accompanied by new side steps and a set of aftermarket wheels. Unsurprisingly, those wheels wear the same matte-gold finish as the body panels.

The rear section follows the same theme. Mansory fitted a roof-mounted spoiler, redesigned the spare-wheel cover, and added a new bumper. Two extra LED taillights have also found their way into the package. Whether the result feels stylish or excessive depends entirely on personal taste, though subtlety clearly was not part of the brief.

Interestingly, the cabin takes a different route. Compared with some recent creations from the German tuner, the interior appears more restrained. Beige leather covers the seats and surrounding surfaces, giving the space a calmer atmosphere than the exterior suggests. Even so, Mansory could not resist adding a few dramatic touches.

A starlight headliner stretches across the roof, while illuminated and stitched door-panel sections introduce additional visual effects. LED backlighting appears throughout the cabin as well. Then there is one unusual detail. The engine Start/Stop button no longer occupies its conventional position and has been relocated to the headliner.
Mechanical changes accompany the visual overhaul. Under the hood sits the familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, though Mansory extracted more performance from the powerplant. Output now reaches 720 horsepower, while torque climbs to 738 pound-feet, or 1,000 Nm. Those figures explain the P720 name attached to the project.
The package leaves little untouched. Matte-gold paint covers the bodywork, matching wheels reinforce the theme, and the upgraded V8 delivers additional muscle. Some viewers will admire the bold approach. Others may reach a different conclusion. Either way, ignoring this G-Wagen is not an option.
